The Philippines_german Christmas Party 2006(Buchen)

I attended a Philippines-German Christmas Party ( under the organisation of our co-member here in care2,Odessa Rose ) yesterday,on Saturday (December2,2006 ) in Buchen, Germany,just about 20 km. away from my place.

The christmas celebration began at 2 pm with Holy Mass,but,was not able to go to the Church,I came late because of my weekend work .Instead,we just drove to the place where the party was held,in Sportheim Hall.

And I was surprise to see there many fellow Pilipinas who were mostly my close Friends and costumers from my asian business before.It was like seeing the good old friends.I was happy to meet them again after many years.They said they missed me.

The organizers ( I know them well,my co-members from our Philippines Choir ) welcomed us with smiles and offered us coffee and cakes at once.

There were lots of cakes as choice,but,got my favorite Schwartzwälder cake, but no time anyway to stay in only one seat ,since, I wandered from place to place, I know almost all of the Guests and talked with them.I have missed them too.

In the evening,we had dinner with Buffet,with different kinds of Philippines and German foods,all cooked and prepared by the members.I preffered to get only our own especiality.(like pancit,lumpia,Kare-kare and so on )

During the dinner,the organizers entertained us by showing their programs, like singing us with christmas songs,dancing,playing instrumentally music, and yes,Santa Clua was also there and distributed Christmas gifts to little children.

I was just lonely that middle of the program,our driver came to me and told me to go home.It was too early,but,well,that was enough to experience the spirit of Christmas with my fellow Pilipinas here in Germany.I enjoyed it a lot!
