The Philippines_German Holy Mass with Baptism

Blog: The Philippines-German Holy Mass with Baptism on 3 Kings day.

Yesterday, was 3 Kings day,It was holiday here in Germany and I have day off.So, I was happy that I can attend the invitation of my relatives to join them with the Philippines -German holy mass organised from them.(they are active organizers of a Christian group here).

I can also go here in our Church, its only in our street, but, its not only for the Holy mass. There is a special event to celebrate on that day.

First,my cousin Beth has birthday ,a Pilipina Friends child will be baptised during the mass and it would be the last day of Father Alfons. A farewell party for him,he will go back to Rome.

The 3 will celebrate their especial day with us, after the Holy mass. So, I have the reasons to go there.(,that the Priest is from the Philippines, thats already especial enough ).

The Holy mass was in english and many people came, though, the Guests were mostly privately invited because the celebrants have invited German relatives and selected Friends.

They were responsible for foods and for the Hall .The organizers have just helped them to prepare everything, like programs, cleanings, kitchen preparations and so on.

And so, I was there.I witnessed the baptism of my friends child, this is very seldom, since almost all of my bestfriends have no child. The Philippines are famous for having many children in the family, but, ones they go abroad, they are either childless or 1-2 child only.(90% of my Pilipina Friends have no child ).

My children were the only ones who played in our street because we were the only ones who have children here in our neighborhood.Germany has lowest birth.(in Europe ).

We gratulated my cousin Beth on her birthday and was happy to see us there.Father Alfons was lonely to leave us, (we too ),but,he must go back to Rome ,Italy.Father Santos,a priester from my hometown Pangasinan will take his place.

But, we concentrated this party for him,we sang him a farewell song, did a little program for him like dancing our Philippines Folks dances and gave him thanks for giving us Holy mass every month for the whole year 2006.

All Guests were served with coffee and cakes and after that a dinner with Buffet.(I did not have time to make pictures of the Philippines food there ).

As usual,we enjoyed it a lot, with my fellow Pilipinas (mostly my own relatives and from Pangasinan ).If you want to see how the Catholics celebrate the Holy mass, the Baptism and how the Philipinos make parties,I suggest you to see my albums in www.webshots.com(a href="http://travel.webshots.com/album/556867898WLxqxA"> src="http://thumb4.webshots.net/t/20/20/5/3/91/2882503910099739544rHEYkV_th.jpg" alt="Image hosted by Webshots.com">by Ritaritz69) or go to www.Ringo.com (search Eminga)

PS:The German government are worrying about the lowest birth here in Germany so they are offering the parents for financially support, like:

A parent who takes time off from work to care for a newborn can receive two-thirds of their net monthly salary, up to a maximum of about $2,392, for 12 months. If the other parent takes a further two months off, the benefit is extended to 14 months.

Germany has a population of 82 million, but low birth rates mean average ages are creeping up and seen as one of the factors hampering the development of Europe’s largest economy.
